Minimum Viable Product

Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is a product development strategy that allows companies to test their business idea with minimal effort by releasing a product with the minimum set of functionalities. It is a way to validate product viability by getting feedback from potential customers and making adjustments accordingly.

If you are interested in learning more about MVP, it is recommended to first read about the Lean Startup Method. MVP is often used in conjunction with this method. As defined by Eric Ries in his book The Lean Startup, MVP is “the version of a product that a team uses to extract the maximum number of user learning points with minimal effort.”

To test your MVP, you can approach potential customers, investors, and other entrepreneurs in your network who belong to your target market. Ask them for feedback and use their input to make necessary adjustments to your product.
